Ancil Marion Davis, Sr., 85, of Pecan Gap, Texas passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Pecan Gap, with Reverend Michael Rowe and Reverend Clyde Bostick officiating. Interment will follow in Pecan Gap Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to services at the First United Methodist Church.
Pallbears will be Brian Harbert, Patrick Harbert, Noah Davis, Levi Modl, Tanner Stamper and Larry Claypool.
Ancil was born in Allen, Oklahoma on February 8, 1934 to Ancil Elsworth and Mary D. "Williams" Davis. They have preceded him in death as well as his wife, Betty Lou Davis. Ancil married Lola Mae Bass on March 27, 1953 of which 2 children were born then later married Betty Lou Guinn on June 21, 1981 in Dallas, Texas. He worked in the trucking industry and he enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include his son, Ancil Davis, Jr.; daughter, Crystal Harbert; son, Foy Trent; son, Darryl Davis; son, Michael Davis; son, Donald Davis; son, James Davis; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
