Dortha Cunningham Obituary
Dortha Cunningham of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday morning June 30, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 2 at the Oak Ridge Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Dortha was born July 7, 1938 in Fannin County. She was the daughter of Bill Hicks and Ethel Bullard Hicks. On November 16, 1957 she married Mr. Sam Wylie Cunningham who preceded her in death October 29, 2001. She had been a resident of Oak Ridge all her life and was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ. She was the receptionist at the Delta Funeral Home of Ladonia.
She is survived by two sons, David Glynn Cunningham and Stephen Wiley Cunningham and by a daughter and son-in-law Rhonda Kay and John Ed Shinpaugh. She was survived by grandchildren; Matthew Cunningham,Brent Cunningham, Landon Shinpaugh, Joshua Cunningham, Lindsey Shinpaugh, Jessica Etzkorn and Logan Cunningham and one great grandson Daniel Wiley Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Bo,Glynn, Lynn,Melvin, and Billy Joe Hicks.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
