Wynona Owens Obituary
Mrs. Wynona Owens of Cooper passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Paris.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Connor Cemetery in Hopkins County with Rev. Larry Maynard officiating.
Wynona was born August 17, 1941 in Delta County. She was the daughter of Worthey Winchester and Geraldine Higdon Winchester. She married Mr. Walter Owens who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and had been a resident of Delta County the past thirty years.
Survivors include her grand daughter Sarah Nicole Baker and her husband, Dallas,great grand daughter Allie Jo Baker, Grandson Christopher Jones, Brother John David Cleveland and his wife Edith, Sisters Virginia Martin,Annette Robertson, and Martha Lou Walker. She was survived a daughter in law, Marlene McCool and by her step children; Kathy Schriber, Debra Kay Alexander, James Thomas Owens, and Micheal Owens. She was preceded in death by her son Maurice Keith Abbott Jr., four brothers; Leroy, Jerry, Edward, and James Winchester.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Delta Funeral Home, Cooper.
