Anthony D. Peters, 80, of Cooper, Texas passed away Friday, August 18, 2023.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryce Jester officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral at Delta Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Springett, Kirk Peters, Brian Springett, Barry Peters, Luke Fouse and Bear Wilkins.

Anthony was born on June 8, 1943, in Keokuk, Iowa to Robert and Marcia “Bowen” Peters. They precede him in death as well as his wife, Barbara Jean Peters, two daughters, Sherry Peters, and Lorri Law.

He was a police officer prior to a career as a long haul truck driver for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son, David Springett and wife, Tammi, of Klondike, Texas; son, Kirk Peters and wife, Frances, of Josephine, Texas; son, Brian Springett and wife, Julie, of Paris, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Peters of Decatur, Illinois; son, Barry Peters and wife, Melissa, of Milton, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
