Barbara Ione Elms

Barbara Ione Elms 87 of Pecan Gap passed away Wednesday March 4, 2020.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday March 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Cooper with Reverend Johnny Witherspoon officiating.  Interment will follow at the Pecan Gap Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends Monday March 9, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Delta Funeral Home. 

She was born to the late “Guy” and Pearl “Coker” Beckman, Dec. 2,1932, in Winona Missouri.

She married the late Richard Frank Elms in 1958, and lived together in Dallas for twenty plus years before relocating to Delta County TX. Barbara is survived by two children: Richard Elms, of Pecan Gap TX and Paula Dangar, of Woodstock GA. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Nathan Dangar; Jared Dangar and wife Hannah Grace; Cara Dangar and Noah Dangar. Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband in 2000. Barbara is also survived by an extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends

Barbara was a Financial Analyst for the Defense Contract Administration Region in Dallas for over 30 years. Barbara was a faithful member of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas for many years and lived a life of Faith, Generosity and Love; she is an inspiration to many. Barbara was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
