Carilyn Akins, 86, of Garland Texas, passed Monday November 8, 2021.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Wednesday November 17, 2021, at Lawson Road Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Harris officiating, and interment will be in Oaklawn cemetery with graveside at 3:00 pm.
Carilyn was born in Hanibal, Missouri on June 2,1935 to Clyde Brooks and Elna (Epperson) Dowell Sr. They have preceded her in death as well as her husband William Hollis Akins.
Carilyn and William were married in 1952. Carilyn was a housewife.
Carilyn was a member of the Lawson Road Baptist Church.
Surivors include son William Akins JR, daughter Debra Sinclair, son Dan Akins, daughter Christine Beeler, daughter Cheryl Cabiness, five grandchildren Amy, Matthew, Jeremy, Vannesa, Taylor, five greatgrandchildren Brenin, PJ, Jordan, Emili, Ayden, and one great-greatgrandchild Lily Marie.
