Carl Fulkerson Sr. passed away August 8th 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife
Rosemary Fulkerson, son Bill Bundy and Daughter Carol Brickler. He is survived by his
children Sylvia lorii, Helen Gibbs, Tommy Allen and Carl Fulkerson Jr. Grandchildren Ashley
Brickler, Husband Brandon; Russell Allen, wife Shannon; Abigail McDonald, husband Timm
and Megan Craig, husband Dylan. As "Opa" to the family, he is survived by 9 great
grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren
Carl was born in 1937 in Owensboro Kentucky and raised by his grandparents on a tobacco
farm. From there his life took him to serve his country in the Air Force as a Crew Chief on
B-52 Bombers. T hen it was back to Arlington, Texas, where he would retire from General
Motors. The last stop on his journey would be in Cooper, Texas to be surrounded by family,
friends, church and country life. His kindness lives on through the many lives he touched he
never met a stranger. Carl lived a life marked by compassion and quiet strength. He will
be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday August 15, 2025, at Three Rusty Nails
Church, Pastor Kaleb Wright will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donation be made to the Oak Lawn Cemetery in
