David Marshall Barber, 81, of Garland, Texas passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper, Texas with Tom O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to services at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.

David was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 16, 1938 to Truman Derois and Valeria Barber. They have preceded him in death as well as his wife, Bettie Barber. David and Bettie were married on March 7, 1959. He was an Accountant with Travelers Insurance.

Survivors include his son, Brian Barber and wife, Melissa, of Wylie, Texas; son, Steven Barber of Kentucky; daughter, Chanda Barber-Thompson and husband, Brian, of Little Elm, Texas; brother, Jimmy Barber; 2 Grandchildren: Adam Ryan Barber and wife, Jeanette and Tyler Christian Barber and wife, Andrea; 3 Great Grandchildren: Jensen Barber, Marina Barber and Miles Barber.
