David Eugene Moses Sr. 76, of Cooper, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 in Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loren Stephens and Scotty Stegall officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 26, at the funeral home.
Mr. Moses was born in Cooper, Texas, December 12, 1936. He was the son of Jessie D. Moses and Bonnie Sloan Moses. He had lived in Cooper and Terrell, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a Master Gardener. He was a retired school teacher, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son, David E. Moses Jr. and wife Charlotte of Ben Franklin; a daughter, Toni Brandon and husband Jack of Cooper; five grandchildren, Mandi Moses, Traye Moses, J.R. Tatum, Beth Tatum, and Mallory Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Moses and Aubree Moses, a life long friend, Pat Moses of Lake Creek; a Niece and a Nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jessie Moses.
