Dennis Ray Wheat, 73, of Cooper, Texas passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at Birchwood Nursing Facility.
Private memorial services are scheduled for a later date at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Dennis was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 28, 1951, to Lolas Odell and Meady Jenell (Cockrum) Wheat.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his son, Adam Justin Wheat and brother Lolas Odell Wheat, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter Katie Wicks and husband Colton of Charleston, Texas, sister Susan Turner of Streetman, Texas, brother Benny Wheat of Georgia and four grandchildren Keyton, Dylan, Wyatt and Alayna Wicks.
