Douglas ‘Doug’ Blagburn 87, of Charleston, Texas passed away Thursday February 12, 2026.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday February 15, 2026, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Jake Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Joe Bob Shaffer, Johnny Morris, Matt Ingram, Michael Speulda, Butch Hervey, and Jim Williams.
Doug was born in Edgewood, Texas on April 13, 1938, to Jay D. and Pearl (Purcell) Blagburn. They preceded him in death as well as a sister Edith, and a niece Elaine.
Doug retired from USPS as a Rural Letter Carrier; he was a 60-year Masonic Lodge Member.
Survivors include his wife Betty Joyce Blagburn, son: Curtis Blagburn and wife Daniela of Celina, Texas, daughter: Debbie Williams and husband Todd of Bogata, Texas, three grandchildren: Clayton Blagburn, Carriagan Blagburn, and Chandler Blagburn, two great grandchildren: Forrest Jay Blagburn, Cypress Rose Blagburn, numerous nieces and nephews.
