Franklin D. Moore, 86, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. Frank was born January 30, 1934 in Whiteface, Texas to George Moore and Nellie Clugston Moore. Frank graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering and worked for Kimberly-Clark and LTV as an engineer. While working at LTV, Frank attended the SMU School of Law graduating in 1965. After obtaining his bar license, Frank practiced law in Irving, Texas from 1965, continued his law practice after moving to Cooper, Texas and retired in 2010. In Cooper, Texas, Frank met and married Alice Chancellor Moore in 1988. Frank’s family will miss his quick wit, love of dance and unconditional love.
Frank is survived by his wife, Alice Moore, sister, LaVella Wright, six children from his first marriage: Judy Moore, Steve Moore, David Moore, Linda Pitman, Mike Moore and Mary Cutlip as well as children Kevin Moore, Alicia Denelsbeck and Becky Lay. Frank is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and is predeceased by his parents, his sisters Ruthie McGuire and Geri Waechter and grandson, Joshua Gray.
A public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper, Texas. A private service is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2020 with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery.
