Gary Don Stone, 79 of Cooper, Texas passed away Thursday August 17, 2023.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday September 16, 2023, at New Hope Church Pastor Dean Eudy will officiate.

Gary was born in Clardy, Texas February 24, 1944, to Roy Ransom “Rant” and Myrtle (Tucker) Stone. They preceded him in death as well as a daughter Kimberly A. Stone, a brother Weldon Ray Stone.

Gary graduated from East Lamar High School in Paris, Texas Class of 1961, Joined United States Air Force in 1963 and retired in 1986, after a 50-year friendship married Janice Fellinger August 25, 2012, in Gering, Nebraska.

Survivors include his wife Janice Stone of Cooper, Texas, son Glenn, two grandchildren, brother Keith D. Stone of Clardy, Texas, sister-in-law Mildred Stone of Clardy, Texas, three nephews Boyce, Jeff and wife Tanya and Brad, several great nephews, and nieces.
