Mrs. Geneva Oleta Kimbrell, 84 years of age of Cooper, passed away Friday afternoon, December 28, 2102 at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kimbrell will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, December 30 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Calvin Turnage will officiate with interment following in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Kimbrell was born May 13, 1928 in Delta County. She was the daughter of Royal F. Small and Julie Louise Lemmons Small. She married Mr. Willie Edward (Bill) Kimbrell on November 22, 1947 in Delta County, he preceded her in death March 10, 1990. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Cooper.
She is survived by a son; Galen Kimbrell of Cooper, four daughters; Margie Mills of Campbell, Carol Hilburn of Cooper, Virginia Edwards of Coppell, and Robin Stonaker of Sulphur Springs. She had fourteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter;Anna Martin, three sisters, Edith Bryan, Irene Johnson and Frances Choate and by a brother Troy Lee Small.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
