Mrs. Gladys Aurelia Gibbs, 87 years of age of Cooper passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Pris. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper. Paul Ray Vititow, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Wednesday until service time at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gibbs was born in Klondike, Texas January 20, 1925. She was the daughter of Henry Bangs and Aurelia Irby Bangs. She was a homemaker and lived in Delta and Hopkins Counties.
On January 17, 1942 she married Amos A. Gibbs who preceded her in death April 22, 1988.
She is survived by two sons; Larry Amos Gibbs of Sulhur Springs, Lendy Joe Gibbs of Austin, a daughter Linda Sue Patrick of Sulphur Springs, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, two daughters in law, Carol Gibbs of Wichita Falls and Sarah Gibbs.
