Gracie Lee (Brewer)Young, 98, of Cooper, Texas passed away Sunday January 7, 2024.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday January 10, 2024, at Church of Christ in Cooper, Texas. Noel Bailey will officiate with interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday January 9, 2024, at Delta Funeral Home.
Gracie was born in Fort Towson, Oklahoma on October 24, 1925, to Oscar Maxon and Genie Dora (Burkett) Brewer. They preceded her in death as well as her husband James Howard Young, two sons: James Maxon Young, and Rodney Lee Young, and daughter: Jeanne Young, Grandson Tony Sewell, Great-Granddaughter Katelyn Grace Vandoesburg.
Gracie worked at Enloe State Bank for eighteen years as a teller, was the office manager for Cooper Chamber of Commerce for eighteen years, along many other talents as a Seamstress, and Lifetime member of Church of Christ in Cooper.
Survivors include her Daughter: Sandra Lynch of Cooper, Texas, Son: Billy Joe Young and wife Stella of Bonham, Texas, Grandchildren: John Paul Young, April Vandoesburg, Chad Sewell, Kristi Lynch, Jacob Lynch, Haley Mullins, Jennifer Smith, Desiree’ Jackson, Brad Young, Jodi Andrews, Great-Grandchildren: Cole Young, Dax Young, Zana Lynch, Katrina Chaney, Baxter Chaney, Sara Chaney, Caleb Delgado, Autumn Klueckman, Abigail Vandoesburg, Noah Vandoesburg, Lily Young, Nolan Mullins, Hayes Mullins, Sager Paul Mullins,Conner Lynch, Makenzie Andrews, MaKayla Andrews, Elias Young, Great-Great Grandchildren: Jak Young, Remington Young, and Bexley Jo Young.
