Henry ‘Charles’ Manning, 77, of Grapevine, Texas passed away Friday, November 13, 2020.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas with Tom O’Neal officiating.
Charles was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 24, 1942 to Sidney Huette and Larea “Hurley” Manning. They have preceded him in death. Charles was a graduate of Cooper High School, class of 1961, and married Anne Simpson on August 28, 1964 in Duncanville, Texas. He earned a degree in Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington, in 1974 and worked as a Civil Engineer in Texas until his retirement in 2015, leading numerous projects that provided water resources to the growing North Texas area. Charles was a Christian and an active member of Grapevine Baptist Church. His favorite activities centered around spending time with family and close friends, usually in the great outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Manning; daughter, Kim Foster of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; son, Henry Charles Manning, Jr. and wife, Dana, of Fulshear, Texas; grandchildren: Ashlyn (Foster) Moore, Abby Foster, Sydney Manning, Caroline Manning, Ethan Manning,; Sister in-law, Carol (Simpson) Champion and husband, Joe; numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
