Hugh Edwin Keepers, 87, of Dallas, Texas passed peacefully Tuesday August 16, 2022.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday August 27,2022 at the Ladonia Cemetery.

Hugh Edwin was born in Orange, New Jersey May 5,1935 to Hugh Vernor, and Doris (Berger) Keepers, they have preceded him in death. Hugh was an engineer by trade, working in various industries and designed and patented many products throughout his career including football helmets worn by the Dallas Cowboys along with groundbreaking concussion technology in the 70’s, industrial drill bits, and ultralight aircraft in the 80’s. He retired in 1994 from E-Systems, a national defense contractor in Greenville, Tx, where he designed and developed many products using composite materials.

Hugh Edwin and Nancy Kennedy were married May 15, 1962, in Oklahoma. Hugh is survived by his wife Nancy Keepers of Dallas and their sons’ Eric Keepers of Richardson, TX, Kevin Keepers of Ft. Worth, Bryan Keepers of Fairview, TX, and Sean Keepers of Albuquerque, NM and grandchildren Collin Keepers, Alaina Keepers, Violet Keepers, and Julien Keepers.
