J.C. Vaughn Obituary

J.C.Vaughn was born to Johnnie Cornelius and Audrey Gammons Vaughn on November 16, 1937. He was big brother to Judy, Lee, and Janey. He helped his daddy on the farm from the time he was a small boy and was plowing alone from the time he was 8 years old. After returning from the United States Marine Corp in January of 1959, He married his beautiful sweetheart, Barbara Wilson Vaughn, on August 14, 1959. On October 12, 1961, he and Barbara welcomed their first child, Cathy Annette. She was joined by a baby brother, Jake, on November 4, 1963. Their family was complete and spent many happy years together camping and fishing in Colorado, New Mexico, and many lakes in between. He retired from Texas Power & Light in 1992 after 27 years of service. J.C. was a faithful husband until his love went to heaven before him in August 2003. He raised his family well and led them to honor God and worship Him regularly. He was a deacon at FBC Fairview until his move to Cooper Texas in the early nineties. He remained an active member of East Delta Baptist Church in Lake creek, Texas. J.C. loved to farm, fish, and hunt deer, and spend time with his beloved family.`

Survived by;

Son; Jake and wife Denice Vaughn of Longridge, Tx. Daughter; Cathy and husband Morgan Malone of Pilot Point, Tx. Grand children;  Jacie and Christopher Ballard Klondike, Tx., Jacob and Jacie Vaughn Longridge, Tx., John Vaughn Longridge, Tx., Jeffri and BJ Foster, Lewisville, Tx., Andrew and Robyn Malone, Lewisville, Tx., Levi and Gabrielle Malone, Lake Dallas, Tx., Ashton Malone, Pilot Point, Tx.

Great Grandchildren Callan, Darci and Amberlee Foster, Adelaide Malone, Jessa Vaughn, Rosalie Ballard.

Two Sisters, Judy Pence, Janie and Kenneth Moorhead, Brother -in-law Ronnie Fisher and wife Carla.

Preceded in death by; His wife Barbara Anne (Wilson) Vaughn (Lady), By his parents Johnnie Cornelius and Audrey Gammons Vaughn, One sister Audrey Lee Fisher.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday July 30, 2020 at the East Delta Baptist Church with interment to follow in the East Delta Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the East Delta Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbears will be  Grandsons and Grandson-in-law Andrew Malone, Jacob Vaughn, Levi Malone, John Vaughn, BJ  Foster, and Christopher Ballard.
