Jennie Corrine Hicks, 84, of Klondike, Texas passed away Sunday June 22,2025.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday July 1, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas, Pastor Brett Patterson will officiate. Family will receive friends and family from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday July 1, 2025, at Delta Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Luke Fouse, Zack Day, Jasson Smith, Shaggy Kundmueller, Wyatt Shaffer, Drew Ott, Emanuel Villegas, and Neal Wayne Shaffer Jr.  

Jennie was born in Stonewall, Oklahoma December 26,1940, to James Harvey and Sylvia Ester (Staley) King. They preceded her in death as well as her husband John Edward Hicks, daughter Sylvia Ball, son William Hicks, daughter Lisa Strickler, and Great Grandson John David Hicks.

Jennie was involved in lots of things P.T.A., Campfire Leader, worked the voting booths, was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter Tammi Springett and husband David of Klondike, Texas, eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters Jean Crawford of Washington, Arliene Long of Arlington, Texas, Millie Green of Whitesboro, Texas, and extended family.
