Jerry Neal Akard

Jerry Neal Akard, 85 of Pattonville, Texas, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2024.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2p.m. Saturday March 16, 2024, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jeffery Gordon will officiate with interment to follow at Oaklawn cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 1-2 p.m. prior to service.    

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Akard, David Self, Dennis Evans, Mark Self, Austin Simpson, and Scott Evans.

Jerry was born in Cooper, Texas February 4,1939 to Mozell and Blanch (Simpson) Akard. They preceded him in death as well as his wife Anna Yarbrough Akard.

Jerry was a skilled Mechanic.

Survivors include his daughter Tammy Akard of Arlington, Texas, son Jeff Akard and wife Amanda of Pattonville, Texas, four grandchildren Jordan Akard, Tyler Akard, Jacob Akard, Addison Akard, three great-grandchildren Isaiah Akard, Isaac Akard, Quinn Akard, sister Dot Dankowski and husband Herb of Paris, Texas.
