Jim Thomas Ennis Obituary

Mr. James (Jim) T. Ennis 88 years of age of Cooper passed away December 12, 2012 in Cooper. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 17 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army.
Mr. Ennis was born in Tennessee on October 13, 1924, the son of Robert Sidney and Grace Viola Garwood Ennis. He married Ruth Thompson Crouch on January 11, 1964. Mr. Ennis was a Veteran of the United States Army serving for over 25 years. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and recieved the Bronze Star for his service in Korea. He had worked as a radar instructor in the Army and later as a teacher and auditor. He was a resident of Commerce before moving to Cooper.
He is survived by his wife; Ruth of Cooper, two sons, Mark Allen Crouch of Campbell and James LaDayne Crouch of Commerce, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mary Shanklin.
Visitation will be held at the Delta Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 16.
The family will be at the residence at 541 Southeast 2nd Street in Cooper.
