Jimmie Opal McGuyer, 91, of Cooper Texas, passed away Friday September 16, 2022.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday September 18, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Cooper, Texas with Brother Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Family will receive friends and family Sunday September 18, 2022, from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to service.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Richie Huie, Tracy France, Jeromy Shaw, Abel Zertuche, Colt Conley, and Ty Huie.
Jimmie was born in Cooper, Texas November 8, 1930, to Eutah Terrell and Mary Ella (Cavanaugh) McGuyer. They have preceded him in death as well as two brothers John William McGuyer, and Gary Richard McGuyer, a sister Nell Payne, and a granddaughter Jennifer Shaw.
Jimmie was in the US Army and served in the Korean War.
Jimmie married his wife Betty Lou White on June 2, 1951, in Texarkana, he retired from construction work in 1992.
Survivors include his wife Betty Lou of Cooper, Texas, daughters Connie France and husband Terry of Cooper, Texas, Kim Shaw and husband Joe of Cooper, Texas, Mindy Conley and husband Randy of Pecan Gap, Texas, a brother Charles McGuyer of Cooper, Texas, a sister Dee Osbon and husband Gerald of Sulphur Springs, Texas, grandchildren Terra France Huie, Tracy France, Jeromy Shaw, Joni Shaw Zertuche, Cody Conley, Colt Conley, Carley Price, Canyon Conley, Seventeen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and another girl on the way.
