Jonathan Scott Thurman, 38, of Cooper, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. Jonathan's life will be remembered with love and compassion during a memorial service at New Hope Church, on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dean Eudy.

Jonathan, born June 9, 1985, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, brought moments of joy and warmth into the lives of so many. He had a giant heart and cared deeply for his family and friends.

Jonathan grew up in Rowlett, Texas, and graduated Rockwall High School in 2004.  He went on to have a career in the HVAC field. He was an avid lover of the outdoors spending as many nights as he could camping in the woods.

Jonathan leaves behind his cherished daughter, Kylie Jeanette Thurman of Garland, Texas. He is also survived by his parents, Scott and Tracey Thurman of Cooper, Texas, and his siblings who shared in his journey: Leah Morrison of Story, Arkansas; Samantha Gail Rutledge of Gainesville, Texas; Lance Beck of Gainesville, Texas; Derrick Chadwick of Rockwall, Texas; and Heather Reynolds of Rockwall, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Tamela Gail Rutledge as well as a brother Aaron Rutledge.

While Jonathan's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his memory will be celebrated for the love he shared and the moments he brightened.
