Joyce Ann (Fisher) Phipps Flanery, 78, of Cooper, Texas, passed away Wednesday May 3, 2023.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2p.m. Saturday May 6, 2023, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel Reverend Edgar Clements will officiate, with interment to follow at East Delta cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 5-7 p.m. Friday May 5, 2023, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Roy Wilson, Judd Murray, Jason Murray, Damon Williams, Michael Christopher, Junior Jones, Bubba Jones. With Honorary Pallbearer Johnny Springfield

Joyce Ann was born in Bagwell, Texas June 11, 1944, to Curtis Miles and Grace Jeanette (Brackett) Fisher. They preceded her death as well as her brothers Benny Fisher, Steve Fisher, Curtis Fisher, John Fisher, and Sam Fisher, sisters Mildred Fisher, Lorene Schultz, and Pauline Cates, granddaughter Harper Blake Phipps.

Joyce Ann managed the Dairy Queen in Cooper, Texas off and on for many years, and waitressed.

Joyce Ann loved working in her yard, and she told many people about a photographer stopping by to take a picture of her wisteria with a bee on it! She lived for her family especially her grandkids, and keeping up with Hillary that she thought was her own daughter.

Joyce Ann was a lifelong Delta County resident, she knew so many people and had so many stories to tell, one thing for certain you definitely knew where you stood with her.

Joyce Ann looked forward to her weekly trips with her sister Frances to the Dairy Queen and Dollar Store.

Survivors include her sons John Phipps of Cooper, Texas, Matthew Phipps of Cooper, Texas, Paul David Phipps and wife Traci of Charleston, Texas, grandchildren Hillary Wilson and husband Roy, Gracie Phipps, Colton Phipps, great grandchildren Rylee Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Dakotah Wilson, A’Leigha Phipps, and sister Frances Owen.
