Karen Elvena (Cain) Preston, 77 of Georgetown, Texas passed away Saturday July 29, 2023.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday August 5, 2023, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel Pastor Dean Eudy will officiate, interment to follow at Lake Creek cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 5-7 p.m. Friday August 4, 2023, at Delta Funeral Home.

Karen was born in Cooper, Texas on September 12, 1945, to James Everett and Naomi (Johnson) Cain. They preceded her in death as well as her brothers James Cain, Aaron Cain, and granddaughter Payslee Preston.

Karen married Douglas Preston on November 28, 1964, moved to Ovilla, TX & were part of the founding members of First Southern Baptist Church, now Ovilla Road Baptist.  She served as church secretary several years before they moved to Hilltop Lakes, TX.  She continued to serve with many charities and organizations including The Child Welfare Board of Leon County, and was an active member of the D.A.R.  She loved the Lord, her family, friends, and being Mamaw with her grandkids, great grands, and others.  

Survivors included her husband of 59 years, Douglas Preston of Georgetown, TX.  Her daughter, Karen Preston Wayman of Dallas, TX.  Sons Michael Preston & wife Tonya of Hilltop Lakes, TX, and Bryan Preston & wife Ikuko of Round Rock, TX.  She was the proud Mamaw of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
