Karla Jane Roffee, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Enloe, Texas, Friday April 21, 2023.  Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday April 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Stacey Smith will officiate.  Family will receive friends and family from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Karla was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 4, 1936, to Carl Nord and Genevieve (Kittendorf) Swanson. They preceded her in death, as well as, her husband Barton Wesley Roffee.

Survivors include sons Barton W. Roffee and his wife Kathy of Richardson, Texas; Daniel W. Roffee and his wife Lori of Cooper, Texas; five grandchildren: Daniel H. Roffee, Benjamin M. Roffee, Andrew J. Roffee (Ali), Erika N. Blount (Sam), and Julia R. Roffee, along with four great-grandchildren: Skylar, Ava, Nathan, Jameson; her sister Norma J. Wren and husband Louis of Riverdale, Iowa, brothers Warren Swanson of Omaha, Nebraska, and Wayne Swanson of Iowa City, Iowa, plus numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

She married the love of her life Barton on December 29, 1958, in Arlington, Virginia and would live with him across the US, Germany and Honk Kong.  Karla retired from her careers as a bio chemist and a real estate entrepreneur.  Throughout her life, Karla enjoyed knitting, sewing, square dancing, camping, teaching children to read and play the piano, renovating houses and bluegrass music leading to her opening the Sweet Enloe Opry in Enloe, Texas.
