LaRue (Cain) Lawson

LaRue Lawson, 75 of Cooper, Texas, passed away Thursday May 16, 2024.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Monday May 20, 2024, at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Shane Carrington officiating. 

Family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service.

LaRue was born in Dallas, Texas February 6, 1949, to Nowlin and Grace Evelyn (Killebrew) Cain. They preceded her in death as well as a son, Baby Boy Lawson, her daughters Stacy Lynn Lawson and Amanda Kay Lawson and a brother, Eddie Cain.

Survivors include her husband Alvin Lawson of Cooper, Texas, brothers: Michael Cain and wife Sandy of Emory, Texas, Hank Cain and wife Daria of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

LaRue owned and operated a children’s daycare for many years.
