Larry Wayne Locke, 75 of Pecan Gap, Texas passed away Sunday September 22nd, 2024.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, September 27th, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Ladonia, Texas. Brother David Howard will officiate, with interment to follow at Ladonia Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8pm. Thursday September 26th, 2024, at Delta Funeral Home.
Larry was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 2nd, 1949, to Myrtie Jo Eaton, who preceded him in death on July 6th, 2000.
Larry was a jack of all trades, who could fix almost anything. He loved working on lawn mowers and tractors.
He was a member and a deacon of First Baptist in Ladonia, Texas and he loved his church family deeply. Larry married his soulmate Barbara Lynn Rittenberry on July 14th, 1972, in McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Amy Sarah Locke, and his grandparents: Amy and Alvin Pringle. Survivors include his wife Barbara of Pecan Gap, two daughters: April Olmsted and husband John of Pecan Gap, and Carrie White and husband Anthony of Commerce. Grandchildren: Jeremy, Nathan, Clayton, David Ethan, Tanner, and his only granddaughter Tynslie! Two surviving brothers Johnny Batten and wife Barbara of Little Elm and Bobby Batten of Pecan Gap and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a daughter from a previous marriage, Donna Gail Carr and husband Jess of Missouri, and seven grandchildren.
