Linda Kay (Ozment) Mason

Linda Kay (Ozment) Mason, 82, of Roxton, Texas passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, after an extended illness. She was born on September 16, 1941, in Dallas, Texas to the late Herbert Palace and Pearl Louise (Bogan) Ozment. 

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 10 at 2:00pm at Delta Funeral Home Chapel  Johnny Witherspoon officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 1:00pm. There will be no graveside service. 

Linda graduated from Cooper High School in 1960, then pursued a career as an account executive for Riviera Fashion Accessories in Chicago.  After returning to Texas, she worked at Cypress Bank in Commerce and later was certified as an LVN.  

After a 10-year courtship, she married Jack Mason on April 24, 1996. They enjoyed living in the Roxton community, attending the United Methodist Church, going to the Friday night dances, and going out to eat with their good friends. She enjoyed working in the flower beds and loved all animals, especially dogs and horses. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eddie Ozment and Preston Ozment and sister-in-law Shirley Ozment. She is survived by her husband Jack Mason and sisters-in-law Melverne Ozment and Myung Ozment, nieces Lisa (Ozment) Venable (Jim), Tracy (Ozment) McQueary (Phil), and nephew Keith Ozment (Karla). Survivors include great nieces Abby (McQueary) Rodgers (Eric) and Lilly, Macy (McQueary) Cockrill (Steven), Alexis (Ozment) Dickerman (Colton) and Hudson, great nephew Preston Ozment, stepchildren Danny Mason and family, David Mason and family, Ross Mason and family, Linda (Mason) Helms (Bruce) and family, Anna (Mason) Soneff (Greg) and family, numerous grandchildren, relatives and friends.
