Mrs. Linnie B. Braley of Ladonia passed away Tuesday in Paris. Funeral services will he held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Ladonia. Rev. Carolyn Albritton will officiate with interment following in the Ladonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Braley was born March 25, 1915 in the Dial Community of Fannin County. She was the daughter of Thomas Elmo Marshall and Rosa Francis Bryan Marshall. She was a graduate of Honey Grove School. She held many positions over the years, retiring from the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Ladonia in 1977. She married Mr. William D. (Dud) Braley in February of 1948. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She had been a resident of Ladonia since 1933 and was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities including MYF sponsor. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Ladonia for many years.
She is survived by her two sons, Tommy R. Hulsey and wife Oma of Sulphur Springs, and Freddie L Hulsey and his wife Jane of Wylie. She was also survived by grandchildren; Lesa and Charles Lawhon, Greg & Alicia Hulsey, Jana Hulsey Jones & Patrick, Kara & Caesar Hermogeno, great Grandchildren Haley Lawhon, Tommy Lawhon, Scott Hulsey, Tyler Hulsey, Pete Hermogeno, Grace Hermogeno, Emily Jones, Cole Jones,and Mackenzie Jones.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Delta Funeral Home in Ladonia.
