Lois Francis Daugherty, 95, of Cooper, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Cooper
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 19 in the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Mike Stone will be officiating.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Paris .
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daugherty was born in Charleston on October 15,1 917, the daughter of Walter Jacob Mills and Lucy Nabors Mills.  She married Clyde Henry Daugherty on September 20, 1934 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1987.  She was the Valedictorian of her class.  She had lived in Delta County most of her life and was a member of the Grace Worship Center.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son C.H. Daugherty, Jr., and two grandsons.
She is survived by five daughters: Joann Teel of Cooper, Sandra Thex of Mesa, AZ, Deborah Burgerson of Cooper, Billie Shaw of Klondike, and LInda Lindsey of Freeport, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
