LOWELL WILLIAM MILLER
Our beloved Lowell “Bill” William Miller, age 93 of Fate, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Bill was born to Walter and Inez “Tattershaw” Miller in Globe, Arizona on July 11, 1927. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. After graduation from the University of Arizona in 1949, he served as an active reservist in the United States Air Force for 15 years and was honorably discharged with a rank of Captain. He married the love of his life, Juliette “June” McAlister on May 16, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona. He later thrived in the finance world with prominent companies like General Motors and Honeywell. He retired from Honeywell in 1988. He was also a certified Dale Carnegie Course Instructor for over 10 years. Bill was a devout Christian and passionately served in his church as a teacher, Elder and in many other capacities. One of his greatest achievements was a book he wrote called, “Prayer Warrior’s Guide to Power Packed Praying.” This book has been translated into many languages and is still being distributed all over the world today to help train pastors and their congregations.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, June Miller of Fate, Texas; son, Rod Miller and wife Dianne of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Melissa Knepper and husband Rick of California; Shelley Mason and husband Dr. V. Bradford Mason of Phoenix, Arizona; step-daughter, Judy Knight and husband Gordon of New Braunfels, Texas; step-son, James Parks and wife RuthAnn of Sherman, Texas; step-daughter, Tami Green and husband Jack of Rockwall, Texas. 9 grandchildren; Kevin Miller and wife Kelly; Sarah Cunningham and husband Corey; Wesley Johnston and wife Kelli; Trevor, Heather Hooser and husband Brent; Keenan Knight and wife Meighan; Jamie Parks, Jenny Heinen and husband Cray; Megan Shipp and husband Matt; and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Violet Philippo.
Bill was a loving and kind man who loved God with all of his heart and he will be missed greatly.
A memorial graveside will be held at Pecan Gap Cemetery at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 24, 2021, with Pastor Brad Howard and Jack Green officiating.
