Mary Lou Peters passed away January 8, 2021.
Born on February 26, 1936 in Dallas, Texas. Mary Lou was a housewife for the majority of her life. Over the years she was known as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and Matriarch of the Dirty Dozen. But don’t call her grandmother, she was “Lou Lou”.
She passed away at home where she lived with her granddaughter Crissie and friend and caregiver “Nana”. She had been living with them in Venus for the last few years.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Nehring, her husband Cyrus Peters, children Lynda Magill, Brett and Bart Peters. She is survived by her children Raebeth Fawks and husband Wayne, Ruth Gavlick, Margie Lindley and husband Wayne, Glenn Peters, and multiple extended family. Since her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were such a joy to her we would like to list them: 12 Grand Children - Wayne Fawks, Brandon Fawks, Michael Patterson, Teddy Lindley, Crissie Craven, Jamie Eppler, BJ Roberson, Samantha Peters, Rose Peters, Wade Magill, Cody Magill and Logan Peters. 16 Great-Grandchildren – Brittan Fawks, Vincent Fawks, Kyle Fawks, Trinity Barrow, Dakota Wood, Jon Michael Patterson, Haley Patterson, Lindley Dean, Maddison Magill, Sophie Magill, Aaron Gatlin, Cheyenne Early, Montana Early, Austin Roberson, Jeremy Roberson, Tyler Roberson. 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren – Cooper Howard Cochran, Breelyn Rae Dean, Koda Gatlin, Kayson Roberson.
Graveside Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held 11 am Saturday April 17, at Charleston Cemetery her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband.
