Mattie Frances Owens 87, of Cooper, Texas passed away Monday October 28, 2024.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday November 1, 2024, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Larry Maynard will officiate. Family will receive friends and family from1-2 p.m. prior to services. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ty Oliver, Trenton Jones, Tanner Houchins, Fletcher Nabors, Matt Ingram and Morgan Baker

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Anderson, Paul David Phipps, Wendell Houchins, Dan Worden, Ty Worden, and Bailey Worden

Frances was born in the Bagwell Community in Red River County June 3, 1937, to Curtis Miles and Grace Jeanette (Brackett) Fisher. They preceded her in death as well as her husband Hugh” Mike” Owens, her brothers and sisters: Mildred Fisher, Curtis Earl Fisher, John Thomas Fisher, Lorene Shultz, Joyce Ann Flanery, Sam Fisher, Benny Preston Fisher, William Steve Fisher, and Pauline Cates, special companion S.R. George.

Frances married Hugh “Mike” Owens June 15, 1955, she was a Farmer and Rancher, loved to garden could grow anything, and canning her vegetables, her favorite pass time was going to the Dairy Queen.
