Mrs. Melba McClanahan, former Cooper resident passed away August 17, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 20 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper with Noel Bailey officiating.
Mrs. McClanahan was born December 29, 1920 in Lamar County. She was the daughter of Jess Hutchings and Jessie Montgomery Hutchings. She married Mr. Weldon McClanahan who preceded her in death. She was a retired beautician and a member of the Church of Christ in Cooper. She had been a resident of Quinlan for the past 15 years.
Survivors are her son, Rusty McClanahan of Quinlan; a sister Bobbie McCarrell of Denison, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Gary McClanahan and a grandson; Little Gary McClanahan and a grand daughter Brandy McClanahan.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six to eight at the Funeral Home.
