Morris Ashmore Obituary
Mr. Morris Miller Ashmore of Ladonia passed away Friday morning, June 22, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Ashmore will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 25 at the Cross Trails Church in Fairlie. Rev. Rueben Trussel will officiate with interment following in the Ladonia Cemetery.
Mr. Ashmore was born January 16, 1933 in Mississippi. He was the son of Robert Lee Ashmore and Mamie Hicks Ashmore. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. On January 9, 1965 he married the former Betty Treadway. He had been a resident of Ladonia since 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Ladonia, sons; Morris Jr. Michael, Kenneth and Richard Dale Ashmore, and by step children; Debra Lee Gantzer, Mickey Young, and Teresa Jackson. He was also survived by Grandchildren, Crystal Strickland, Jeremy Talbott, Stephanie Hammonds, Michael Young, Michelle Young, Ashley Ashmore, Richard Ashmore Jr., and Amanda Ashmore and by six great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grand daughter Casandra Ashmore.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Delta Funeral Home, Ladonia.
