Nelva Ann Nichols, 81, of Commerce, Texas passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas with Jeff Wooten officiating.

A Come and Go visitation will be from 1 – 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Delta Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Chris Nichols, Micah Nichols, Zach Nichols, Monte Clyne Nichols, Parker Nichols, Stanton Nichols, Greg Burns and Amanda Suarez.

Nelva was born in Mt. Joy, Texas on August 14, 1938 to William Frank and Minnie Armena “Gillean” Gregory. They have preceded her in death as well as her husband, Olen Nichols.  She married Olen on April 16, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. She was a Purchasing Agent for Texas A & M Commerce Book Store and a member of the Bread of Life Nazarene Church in Commerce, Texas.

Survivors include her 3 sons: Joe Hadaway of Greenville, Texas; Phil Nichols and wife, Vicky, of Commerce, Texas; Monte Nichols and wife, Sherri, of Rockwall, Texas; daughter, Angie Burns and husband, Isaac, of Commerce, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Jane Davis and husband, Charles, of Gatesville, Texas; and 3 brothers: Boyce Gregory and wife, Mary of Mt. Joy, Texas; Roy Gregory and wife, Mary, of Cooper, Texas and Tim Gregory of Cooper, Texas.
