Mr. R.W. Crutcher of Charleston passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at his residence. Graveside services for Mr. Crutcher will be held at 1:00 PM. Sunday, December 2 at the East Delta Cemetery. Rev. John Harbison will officiate. Mr. Crutcher was born March 21, 1928 in Cockrell Hill, Texas. He was the son of Richard Wilson Crutcher and Mable Ruth (Jordan) Crutcher. Me married Wanda Lee Powers on July 29, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 18, 1996. He had been a resident of the Delta County area since 1970. Mr. Crutcher was a retired diesel mechanic and truck driver.
He is survived by a son; B.D. (Ward) Crutcher and his wife Gwen of Enloe, daughters; Debra Holveck and husband Danny of Waxahachie, Texas, and Iva Parkhill and husband Tommy of Cooper, brother Bill Crutcher of Long Ridge, sisters; Helen Swaim of Charleston and Norma Goforth of Kensing, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son; Gary Wayne Crutcher, daughter June Kostenski, brothers; James and Harold Crutcher and by two grandchildren
Visitation will follow the graveside service inside the East Delta Baptist Church.
