Mr. Ramiro (Raymond) C. Jaramillo Sr., 73 of Ben Franklin, TX passed away Wednesday August 18, 2021, in Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday August 28, in the Three Rusty Nails Church, 1100 W. Dallas Ave., in Cooper, Texas with Pastor Kaleb Wright officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 12 p.m. and interment will follow in the Garden of Memories cemetery in Ben Franklin under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Isaiah Duran, Isaac Jaramillo Jr., Jason Jaramillo, Blake Smith, Matthew Stringer, and Carlos Villada.
Raymond was born in Robstown, Texas on January 8, 1948, to Jose and Esperanza (Coronado) Jaramillo. Raymond married Barbara on September 7, 2001, in Cooper, Texas. Some of his joys were taking care of their place and his cows and back in the day, he loved to go dancing and was very good at it.
Raymond was preceded in death by Oscar Jaramillo Sr., Diana Nerren, Sylvia Deleon, Esperanza (Wella) Jaramillo, Thelma Jaramillo, Mario Jaramillo Jr, Dalia Minchew, Jose (Wello) Jaramillo Sr., and Jose Jaramillo Jr. He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Shirley Plummer and a granddaughter, Ashtyn Spangler.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jaramillo of Ben Franklin, daughter Teresa Smith of Farmers Branch, son Ramiro Jaramillo Jr and Tammy of Ben Franklin, son Chase Jaramillo of Hooks, Texas, stepdaughter Shawna Spangler and Kyle also of Ben Franklin, and stepdaughter Diedra Freeman and Randy of Alvord, Texas.
Raymond is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers, Mario Jaramillo, Lionel Jaramillo, Isaac Jaramillo, and Danny Jaramillo along with sisters Delia Darnell, Lydia Villada, and Anna Campbell along with many nieces and nephews.
