Richard Eugene Sampson

Richard Eugene Sampson 86, of Cooper Texas, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at First Baptist Church Gymnasium with Pastor Johnny Witherspoon officiating and interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday June 30,2021 at Delta funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon McGraw, Jerod McGraw, Chase Sampson, Lucas Sampson, Garret McGraw, Daniel McGraw, Jonathan McGraw, Jadon McGraw. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cameron McGraw, Josiah McGraw, Dustin Bosscher, and Dalton Bosscher.

Richard was born in Denison, Texas on September 3,1934, to Lemuel and Ruby "Huffer" Sampson. They have preceded him in death as well as twin brother and sister.

Richard was a Farmer, Rancher and Carpenter and served his country in the United States Navy.

On February 16,1958, he married Susie Williamson in Irving, Texas.

Survivors include wife, Susie Sampson of Cooper; son, Kirk Sampson and wife, Becky, of Cooper; daughters, Renee McGraw and husband, Jimmie, of Sulphur Springs; Ruby Diane Bosscher and husband, Larry, of Cooper; Penny Rebecca Sampson of Cooper.

20 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren.
