A mother’s love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. It is our deepest condolences and regret that our mother, Rose Estelle Melson, 84 years old has passed away from complications from her fight with dementia. She passed away in her home in Bartow on January 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 28, 1938, in Texas. She was a Supervisor of Environmental Services for Winter Haven Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, working out and fishing. She attended Oak Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters. She is survived by her 4 children Debra Ward of Dothan, AL, Julie Smith (Dave) of Bartow, Kimberly Quarles (Roger) of Bartow and Jimmy Don Stanley of Cooper, TX, sister Marie Williams of Poteau, OK, grandchildren Rebecca (Tony), James (Andi), Tate ( Caroline), Alicia, Stephanie, Brian (Ashley), Jordan (Jennifer) & Jessica (Josh), great grandchildren Sean, Gia, Camden, Samuel, Alexis, Ashley, Riley , Jase & Jesse and many nieces & nephews Family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 6:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday January 9,2023 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Ben Franklin, TX.
