Sharon Kay Arthur passed away Wednesday September 11, 2024.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church Cooper, Texas, Pastor Donnie Powers, and Reverend Johnny Witherspoon will officiate. Interment to follow at North Hopkins Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, 10-11 a.m.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Scott Anderson, Brian Arthur, Jack Cain, Jacob Smith, Cole Smith, Adam Janes, Skyler Pruitt, Jimmy Busby, Landon Bass, Honorary Pallbearers will be Bentley Janes, Bryson Janes, Judson Smith, Theo Cain, and the late Ethan Busby.
Sharon was born in Garland, Texas, June 2, 1964, to William “Jack” Lowell and Imogene (Dorner) Arthur. They preceded her in death as well as a sister Linda York, sister-in-law Pam Arthur, nephew Ethan Busby, and brother-in-law Steve Cain.
Sharon retired after teaching kindergarten for 30 years. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Cooper, and a Monarch butterfly advocate for years, she was one of the ladies in the Scrappy Cotton Pickin Quilters.
Survivors include her sister: Deborah Cain of Cooper, Texas, brother: Ricky Arthur of Garland, Texas, nieces and nephews: Scott Anderson, Stephanie and Jimmy Busby, Brian Arthur, Amy and Skyler Pruitt, Kristin and Adam Janes, Jack and Hailee Cain, great nieces and nephews: Jacob and Ashley Smith, Cole and Chandler Smith, Katie and Landon Bass, Hattie Pruitt, Cora Pruitt, Bentley Janes, Bryson Janes, Eliza Cain, Theo Cain, great- great nieces and nephews: Katelynn Bass, Judson Smith, Reata Bass, and Easley Bass, numerous extended family.
