Sherry Ann (Haggard) Cheney, 89, of Paris, Texas passed away Sunday April 5, 2026.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday April 8, 2026, at Garden of Memories in Ben Franklin, Texas. Pastor Larry Maynard will officiate.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brad Cheney, Josh Cheney, Cody Cheney, John Gill, Bill Davidson, and Randy Overturf.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Bobby Lee Gill.
Sherry was born June 28, 1936, in Ben Franklin, Texas to W.A. and Billie (Moody) Haggard. They preceded her in death as well as her husband Trueman Cheney, son: Carlton “Bubba” Cheney, daughter: Lisa David, and a sister: Shirley Castner.
Sherry married Trueman Cheney June 12, 1953, she retired from Campbell Soup.
Survivors include her daughters: Charisse Holdren and husband Victor of Burkburnett, Texas, Denise Gill and husband Robert of Burkburnett, Texas, sons: Jack Cheney and wife Judy of Campbell, Texas, Michael Cheney and wife Dolores of Paris, Texas, daughter: Annette Abbott and husband Chris of Miller Grove, Texas, Twenty-one grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
