Shirley Maxine Martin

Shirley Maxine Martin, 75, of Cooper, Texas passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend James Mansfield of Victory Baptist Church officiating,  burial will be at East Delta Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Davis, Billy Martin, Josh Dunnett, Dylan Martin, Brandon Caille, Ricky Oliveros, Allen Minter, and Rick Sanford.

Shirley was born in Era, Texas on April 5, 1944 to Robert Lee and Ninna Hilda “Wilson” Reichle. They have preceded her in death as well as her husband, Garland Eldon Martin; daughter, Bertha; son, Garland Eldon Martin Jr.; granddaughter, Chy Anne Martin and grandson, Stephen Martin. Shirley married Garland Eldon Martin on September 6, 1967 in Fresno, California. She was a homemaker.  Survivors include her son, John Davis of Paris, Texas; daughter, Kathrine Dunnett of Como, Texas; daughter, Rachell Oliveros and husband, Ricky, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Billy Martin and wife, Mecca, of Cooper, Texas; daughter, Minnie Mathews and husband, David, of Pioneer, Louisiana; four grandchildren whom she raised;  Rosa Gallegos-Martin, Nina Gallegos, Cecil Martin, and Angela Martin of Cooper Texas and brother, Hershell Reichle of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren; Bri Davis, Angel Melton, Josh Dunnett, Maria Garcia, Leo Roberts, BJ Roberts, Michona Roberts, Joslyn Frutos, Brandon Leslie, Justin Mathews, Dylan Martin, Matthew Martin, Emily Martin, and 11 Great – Grandchildren.
