Steve Fisher Obituary

Mr. William Steve Fisher, 64 years of age of Ridgeway passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Sulphur Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14, at the First United Methodist Church in Cooper. Rev. Carl Sterling will officiate with interment following in the Peerless Cemetery.
Steve was born April 9, 1948 in Honey Grove, Texas. He was the son of Curtis Miles Fisher and Grace Jeanette Brackett Fisher. He married Paulette Thompson on December 27, 1969. Steve owned a Garage and Tire Shop in Cooper for many years and was an avid collector of antique cars. Steve and Paulette had been residents of Ridgeway for the past 39 years.
Survivors are his wife Paulette, son Anthony Fisher of Ridgeway, daughters Kim Whaley of Peerless and Kristy Buchanan of Ridgeway, brother Sam Fisher of Texarkana and sisters Lorene Schultz of Cooper, Frances Owens of Charleston, and Joyce Flanery of Cooper. He was also survived by six grandchildren; Brittany Leigh Whaley, Silas Colten Whaley, Abigail Grace Whaley, Kelsey Paulette Buchanan, Ruby Makayla Buchanan and Stevanna Star Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Earl, John and Benny Fisher and by a sister Pauline Cates.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 13.
