Thomas Duane Hill, 55, of Cooper, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Delta Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Hill was born in El Centro, California on May 12, 1957, the son of Elgie Gordon Hill and Doris Faye Etheridge Hill. He married Owana Gay Wilson on January 16, 1998. Mr. Hill had lived in Cooper for 30 years, and had been a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years. He was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife: Gay Hill of Cooper; his mother: Faye Hill of Bonham; a son: Joseph Duane and wife Kristi Hill of Georgia; daughters: Brandy Lynn Hill of Greenville, Angela Dawn Welchman of Bradenton, FL, Samantha Cline of Telephone, and Kelly and husband David Horton of Cooper; sisters: Edith Lewis of Ravenna, Sharmin Pilliod of Bonham, and Kathy Shipman of Estelline, TX; a half brother: Emmitt Hill of Dial; three half sisters: Sandy, Shanna, and Tina; and ten grandchildren: Dakota Cline, Cody Walker, Makayla Cline, Thomas Walker, Cordell Walker, Ethan Cline, Aden Hill, William Chisum, Katelynn Welchman, and Gina Welchman.
