William Tim Oliver, 82, of Charleston passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, in the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Regan officiating. Interment will follow in the Charleston Cemetery.
Mr. Oliver was born in Charleston on March 26, 1929, the son of William Bill Oliver and Ada Lee Nabors Oliver. He married Betty Jo Boyd on January 14, 1950. He retired from Freuhauf Trailers as a service writer. He was a member of the Charleston Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He returned to live in Charleston in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Oliver of Charleston, a son Michael Tim Oliver and his wife Edwina of Dallas, a sister, Billie Jean Evans of Rowlett, five grandchildren, Jennifer Houchins, Todd Oliver, Danita Morgan, Dennis Morris, and Ciji Oliver, and six great grandchildren, Ty Oliver, Trenton Jones, Tanner Houchins, Ainsley Oliver, Kal Morris, and Presley Morris.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the East Delta Community Center.
