William Larry (Bud) Sanford Obituary

William Larry Sanford (Bud) 82 of Klondike, Texas passed away Tuesday October 7, 2025.

Bud was born in Adamsville, Alabama on March 20, 1943, to Malcom and Linnie (Smith) Sanford. They preceded him in death as well as four brothers: Clarence, Johnny, Dan, and JC, three sisters: Clara Vines, Peggy Hardin, and Betty Cooper, three daughters: Lori, Dana, and Sonya.


Bud served in the United States Air Force in the 60’s, worked at the telephone company in Alabama, he traveled around the country going to the Grand Canyon, and had fellow ship with the Havasu Indians, Then moved to Texas to be with his family, he loved the Lord with all his heart, and shared it with everyone who had time to listen. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews from Florida to Texas, and so many friends that he met traveling. He had a wonderful life. Charlotte Toothman, one of his nieces, helped him with many things. Also, he has helped her since her husband passed four years ago. 


Survivors include nieces: Edith Cleveland and husband John, Charlotte Toothman, nephew: Steve Sanford, his best friend Bucky Schroeder, and former wife Donna, grandchildren: Crystal Sexton, and Cody Seay, great- grandchildren: Hayden Strickland, Jackson Strickland, and Lori Lynn Strickland, plus many more nieces and nephews
