Mr. Wilson Smith, 100 years of age of Klondike passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leroy Reaves will officiate with interment in the New Klondike Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born May 28, 1912 in Delta County. He was the son of Tildon Smith and Nancy (Peebles) Smith. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was a lifelong cotton farmer in Delta County. On December 16, 1951 he married the former Juell Horton who preceded him in death in 2001.
Survivors are a son; David Smith and his wife Kim of Klondike, grandchildren Erin Witte and her husband Bryan and Craig Smith and one great grandchild; Kailyn Witte.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
